Now that the Tata Harrier EV is beginning to arrive at showrooms, set aside pictures and videos. Additionally, reservations are being accepted for the flagship electric SUV. With its excellent performance capabilities, extensive feature set, and 5-star safety certification from Bharat NCAP, the Harrier EV undoubtedly stole the show. Over 10,000 reservations have been made for Tata’s flagship EV since reservations opened on July 2.

Here is all the information you require if you’re still wondering what makes the electric Harrier unique:

Design

The Tata Harrier EV retains recognizable features like the connected LED DRLs and LED headlights, and it mostly follows the look of its diesel-powered sibling. Nevertheless, it has EV-specific features that give it a harder appearance, such as a closed-off grille and silver vertical slats on the front bumper.

A new set of 19-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic covers and “.ev” emblems on the front doors in place of the standard Harrier logo are visible from the side. Apart from that, it maintains the same tough side profile, complete with thick body cladding around the doors and wheel arches and black ORVMs.

The EV maintains the same design as the standard Harrier in the back as well. Even the rear wiper system, a stylish roof spoiler, and those nifty integrated LED tail lights are still included. To mirror the front bumper’s style, the rear skid plate now has vertical slats.

Interior And Features

The new white and grey design of the Tata Harrier EV, which is also seen in the Tata Curvv EV and Tata Nexon EV, welcomes you with a sleek and contemporary dashboard. It makes the space feel lighter and more upscale.

It has a sharp 10.25-inch digital driver’s display and a stylish 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata emblem. The main attraction is a brand-new 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a Samsung QLED panel for crisper images and more responsive touch.

A drive selector stalk, twin cupholders, an electronic parking brake toggle, a rotary terrain mode dial, and a broad center armrest are all nicely arranged in the center console. The grey leatherette upholstery on the seats enhances the cabin’s upscale appearance.

A panoramic sunroof, multicolored ambient lighting, dual-zone auto air conditioning with rear vents, powered and ventilated front seats, and even a boss mode for the front passenger seat are some of the other important features. In addition to the new dual-screen arrangement, you also get a 10-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos and a wireless phone charger.

Being an EV, it gets tech like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging. Off-road assistance, a transparent view with the 360-degree camera, boost mode, and drive modes tailored to different terrains like mud ruts and rock crawl are other highlights.

Safety features include a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a 360-degree camera with blind spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and seven airbags (six as standard). Notably, Bharat NCAP has awarded the Tata Harrier EV a 5-star safety certification for both adult and child occupant protection.

Powertrain Options

Two battery pack configurations are available for the Tata Harrier EV; the larger one can be equipped with an optional dual-motor arrangement for improved performance and all-wheel drive.
